These are fully hum-canceling and have the standard six poles on top.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1322\" src=\"https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickgaurd.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"539\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickgaurd.jpg 700w, https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickgaurd-300x231.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Looking at the bottom of the pickup reveals nine magnets in the pickup. I assume the extra three magnets are reverse wound to cancel the hum, but that&#8217;s only a speculation.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1326\" src=\"https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickupback.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickupback.jpeg 700w, https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickupback-300x204.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The poles are staggered but in an unusual fashion. Vintage strats use middle tone pot for the neck pickup and the bottom pot for the middle one. This setup doesn\u2019t really suite me so I hooked up the middle pot to the neck &amp; middle pickups, and the bottom pot to the bridge pickup.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1323\" src=\"https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickgaurd_back.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"609\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickgaurd_back.jpg 700w, https:\/\/mrguitar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/pickgaurd_back-300x261.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve spent about 10 minutes with them plugged in and so far they sound fantastic.
